Service description
AILitKit is an educational resource that helps teachers integrate AI literacy into their existing teaching. It generates framework-aligned guides with activity suggestions, teacher coaching notes, and differentiation adaptations. Generation is performed by third-party AI models accessed through OpenRouter (Google Gemini), with a layered pre-generation content-safety classifier (Meta Llama Guard 4 12B, with a curriculum-aware reviewer for any flagged request) applied to every request. All OpenRouter calls are sent under the “Always enforce zero data retention” policy — routed only to providers that contractually do not retain, log or train on the input. AILitKit is not a substitute for your professional judgement.
Acceptable use
You may use AILitKit for educational planning purposes. You agree not to use the service to attempt to generate content that breaches recognised safeguarding standards, infringes third-party rights, or that you are not authorised to plan within your role. You are responsible for ensuring the content you submit, and the guides you produce and use, are appropriate for your specific students, your school's policies, and applicable law.
Teacher review of AI-generated content
All guides are produced by AI and may contain errors, omissions, or framings that do not match your specific learners. Before using a guide in the classroom you must review it for accuracy, age-appropriateness, accessibility and alignment with your school's policies, and adapt it where necessary. By using AILitKit you agree to apply this professional review step.
If you find anything in a generated guide that is inaccurate, biased, age-inappropriate, or that you consider unsafe, please email hello@ailitkit.com with the guide reference. We use these reports to tune the safeguarding rubric and the system prompt.
Pre-generation safety classifier
Before each guide is produced we run an automated, layered content-safety classifier: Meta Llama Guard 4 (12B) as the first pass, and a curriculum-aware reviewer (Google Gemini) for any request Llama Guard flags. Both calls are sent through OpenRouter under the “Always enforce zero data retention” policy. Some categories are hard-blocked regardless of curriculum context. If you believe a request was blocked or downgraded incorrectly, email hello@ailitkit.com and a human will review the decision. This is also how you exercise the right to human intervention under UK GDPR / EU GDPR Article 22 where it applies.
Your data responsibilities
Uploaded files are automatically deleted from our servers once your guide has been generated. However, you remain responsible for ensuring that any documents you upload do not contain personal data as defined under applicable data protection law (including UK GDPR, EU GDPR, FERPA, and UAE PDPL). This includes student names, staff details, assessment data linked to individuals, or safeguarding records. AILitKit processes curriculum content only: schemes of work, lesson plans, and topic descriptions. We reserve the right to delete any uploaded content that appears to contain personal data.
School and trust accounts
If you join AILitKit through a school or trust account, your school's administrators (and, where applicable, your trust's administrators) are able to manage your seat, see your name, email and role on their member roster, see safeguarding decisions flagged as "sensitive" or "blocked" for accounts in their organisation, and see aggregate usage signals. They cannot read the contents of your guides unless you share them. If you administer an organisation account, you agree to access colleague metadata only as needed to administer the account, and in line with your school's own data protection policies. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
AI-generated content
Guides are generated by AI (Google Gemini via OpenRouter) and may contain errors or inaccuracies. AILitKit does not guarantee the accuracy of framework alignment tags, activity suggestions, or coaching notes. Teachers should exercise professional judgement and review all content before classroom use, in line with the "Teacher review of AI-generated content" section above.
Email from us
By creating an account you agree to receive transactional and lifecycle email needed to operate the service (account confirmations, receipts, renewal reminders, organisation invitations, founding-member milestones). You may also receive occasional product and service updates about new features, improvements, and educational content. You can opt out of product and service updates at any time by emailing hello@ailitkit.com with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line. We will action your request within 5 working days. Opting out does not stop transactional email tied to your subscription. Full detail in the Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions and payments
Free accounts include 3 Lesson guides on signup, then 1 per calendar month. Paid subscriptions provide unlimited generations within the scope of the chosen plan. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Payments are processed by Stripe.
If you join the early-access founding-member programme, the founding rate is locked for the lifetime of an active subscription provided you convert before the founding access window ends. You will receive a small number of lifecycle emails relating to that programme (conversion reminders and an end-of-access notification). If your subscription lapses or is cancelled, you may lose the founding rate on re-subscription; we will tell you clearly before you complete checkout if a non-founding rate applies.
Intellectual property
Guides you generate are yours to use, print, share, and adapt for educational purposes. AILitKit retains no ownership of your generated content. The AILitKit platform, design, and branding remain the intellectual property of IN&ED.
Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. If generation fails, please try again. We are not liable for any loss arising from service unavailability.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IN&ED's total liability under these terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including any loss arising from a teacher relying on AI-generated content without applying the professional review step described above.
Termination
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including any attempt to circumvent the pre-generation safety classifier.

If you are based in the United Kingdom or European Union, these terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are based in the United States, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
